Job Description

Lighthouse Learning is a children’s educational software company providing high quality digital learning resources to schools around the world. Our Lumio maths product offers creative, visual and interactive activities that help foster confidence with maths and increase access to high quality education for all children.

You will communicate with our US and UK school customers and fulfil vital day­-to-­day admin duties as a trusted and highly valued member of a small team. Coordinating with sales and development colleagues, you will make sure teachers and school leaders have a great experience with Lumio.

Responsibilities include:

 * Managing inbound email

 * Delivering adhoc product training

 * Updating customer accounts and mailing lists

 * Setting up free trials and logins

 * Testing new system functionality

 * Updating and scheduling email campaigns

 * Capturing testimonials from subscribers

 * Recording and processing sales and invoices

You will build familiarity with the whole business, developing your skills and experience in diverse areas. As the business grows, this role offers progression routes into project management, marketing or team leadership.

You will be based at Vantage Point, New England Road, BN1 4GW. Depending on your availability, working hours can be flexible with shifts from 8am ­- 4.30pm to 12noon -­ 8.30pm. This role is full-time but part­-time would be considered.

Skills Range


 * You have a minimum 3 years admin and customer facing experience.

 * You have strong communication skills.

* You have excellent spoken and written English.

* You are able to efficiently prioritise and manage a busy workload.

* You are highly competent with detailed admin tasks.


* You have used a customer database system or CRM such as Salesforce.

* You have experience in a phone­-based role such as customer service, telesales, fundraising or reception.

About You

You are well­-organised, dependable and an excellent communicator. Your patience, focus and commitment will help you deliver a great service to schools and make sure they get the most value from using our product. You can confidently handle professional, friendly phone calls and emails with customers at different levels from busy teachers to senior district leaders.

You are able to manage a variety of different tasks and projects, working reliably to priorities and timelines and communicating status and progress effectively with co­workers. You will be an enthusiastic learner able to embrace new responsibilities and pick up skills and knowledge with the support of others.

Although it’s not a requirement, ideally you have previously lived in the US or Canada. First-hand familiarity with accent, language conventions and culture will help you communicate effectively with our US audience.

Along with our US-­facing team members, you will need to work hours that accommodate US time zones as required. There is a lot of flexibility here; working hours are discussed and agreed in advance depending on your availability.
