Our talented Content Producer, Ema Spry is preparing herself for an incredible challenge – well 10 incredible challenges actually!
For the next 10 months Ema will be completing one fitness or health related challenge per month before travelling to Tanzania, Africa with members of the Cheltenham Gospel Choir in March 2016. The purpose of the trip is to visit the two charities that the choir supports, the Amani Children’s Home and New Life Foundation.
Ema said of the fundraising: “Both of the charities do a wonderful job supporting and educating vulnerable children in Tanzania. Our aim for the trip is to meet with the volunteers who run the charities and also with the children themselves.
“The trip is a number of months away, but that gives me plenty of time to do some fundraising in the meantime! In order to raise money for the charities, I’ve decided to spend the next 10 months completing one fitness or health related challenge per month.”
Ema has already completed the first challenge which was a colour dash in Bath and is already training for the next few on the list:
- Kayaking around the Scillies
- Swimming around St. Michael’s Mount, Cornwall (which Ema is most scared about due to the invasion of giant jellies!)
- Bike ride along the Camel Trail
If you have any ideas for more challenges Ema can take part in, please Tweet us your suggestions!
