New – Number Patterns for Year 6

In Patterns, learners generate a number pattern that follows a given addition or subtraction rule.  Pupils develop fluency and notice features of the pattern such as alternating digits in the ones place when the rule is ‘+5’.

Learners will develop their reasoning and problem solving skills by figuring out the rule for an incomplete pattern and then solving it.
